Alien Version 1.0 with Sound!
July 22, 1997
==============================

Alien is an old HP48 game, the author of that version got the idea from an
old c64 game. It is a rather simple shoot'em up game and the story behind the
game is as follows: Unfriendly (most aliens are) aliens have invaded the earth
and the only one who can stop them are you. To assist you in your battle, the
russian experts have developed a new powerful (and leathal) weapon, the blaster.
But, as you known, the Ruble isn't what it used to be and therefore, the scientists
could only afford the version with limited firecapacity. You can only have one shot
in the air at the same time. And what's even worse: the aliens have gotten
hold of the very same weapon. And they're continually making their shields
stronger and stronger. Stop them before they reach mother earth!

After completion of each level, the shields of the aliens become more powerful
and so you have to shoot them more times to kill them. On level 1, you must
shoot each alien once, on level 2, twice, and so on.

It makes noise when you hit an alien or pass a level, but you need to fashion
some sort of device so that you can hear it (the procedure is the same as for
sound on the TI-85, so there are many places where you can find instructions
on how to do this) I might add an option to turn the sound off so that there
is no little pause while it is making noise.

If you hit an alien bullet dead on (none of this grazing stuff :) both bullets
will explode, so that they disappear.

Keys: Left and Right to move your blaster, Clear to quit, 2nd to shoot, Mode to
pause and view the Level and Score (you get a point every time you hit an
alien, there is no high score list, but perhaps I will add that soon)

Known Bugs/Designed Features:
-The aliens have absolutely no AI, their shots are entirely random
(although it does sometimes seem that they do have some sort of anti-
intelligence as they often direct their fire where you aren't!)
-sometimes the aliens seem to take more shots to kill than they should,
this is because sometimes they get a jolt of energy, momentarily increasing
their shields, or maybe it is because the hit detection isn't the greatest,
	 I'm not sure yet =)
-sometimes the shot seems to pass through the alien, but it really doesn't,
it is just an illusion (well sort of, but we won't get into that :)

Based on the hp48 game by Jonas Lindstedt, Sweden.
