In 1996, ImaTowns hosted the first Active Worlds world outside of Worlds, Inc. (the owners of Active Worlds at the time.) In early 1997, we officially began offering Active Worlds hosting as well as web hosting.  In 1998, we began developing Active Worlds bots under the name ImaBot for the newly released Active Worlds software development kit.

 

Today, ImaTowns hosts over 40 Active Worlds worlds, several Active Worlds galaxies, and more than 70 web sites.  We are the top Active Worlds host with more than ten years of experience.  We utilize a full T1 connection, the best hardware and software, and an experienced staff in order to bring you hosting that is both fast and reliable.  All of our servers have redundant power supplies as well as RAID, and we do tape and remote backups on a regular basis.  Redundant networking equipment as well as a UPS and generator are employed to maximize uptime.
